VLC Media Player for Mac OS X is a highly portable audio and video playback application for a wide range of formats including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MP4, DivX, MP3, OGG, OGM, DVD, VCD, and a number of streaming protocols. VLC player also acts as a server to stream unicast and multicast media. Numerous subtitle methodologies are also supported. Versions of VLC also available for Windows and Linux.
